Cubs Add Justin Steele To Help With Bullpen Woes

The Cubs today have added left handed pitcher Justin Steele to the main roster.

Steele is a 25 year old pitcher who touches 95-96 mph on his fastball and a solid change up and slider. He was mainly a starter throughout his minor league career, but arm injuries have pretty much made him destined for a relief role.

The Cubs are trying to piece together a bullpen that can get outs. The offense and starting pitching have been lights out so far in 6 games, but the bullpen has been the issue so far as they have posted a 24.00 ERA in the 9th inning.

Look for Steele to give some help to Kyle Ryan as a lefty out of the pen going forward and if he can preform and get people out he should be here to stay for the rest of the year. Of course when it comes to this bullpen, that is a big if.
